Design Assistance That Goes Above and Beyond

All inspired products begin as an idea or concept that is then translated into a design. When creating such designs it is important to understand the benefits and limitations of the vacuum forming process. The talented engineers at Pacific Plastics Design hold fifteen vacuum-forming related U.S. patents and understand the process inside and out. They have accumulated years of experience designing thousands of succcessful products. Our complete design process includes:

•  DESIGN/ENGINEERING
•  PROTOTYPING
• TOOL CREATION
• TESTING

A Case in Point

An example of how our design support goes above and beyond was the redesign of the original cardboard display shown on the left below. This display had numerous pieces and required over an hour of assembly time at the point of sale location. Rather than just duplicating the existing concept, our engineers came up with an entirely new design (shown on the right) that's simple, functional and aesthetic. The new design has only three parts, and requires only a few minutes for on-site assembly. The redesigned display also features a dome that protects the product and an integral lock for added security.
